Lake Shore on Lake Wylie Best Planned Community

The last community I visited on my tour of communities in the South Carolina mountains  is called New Land Community formerly known as Lake Shore on Lake Wylie.

The community sits on the banks of the 12,000 acre Lake Wylie, outside Fort Mill, South Carolina and is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Wow what a great location!

Charlotte, North Carolina is about 15 miles away, so you can work in North Carolina, while enjoying South Carolina’s tax benefits.

You’re also only a bit over an hour drive to Greenville and Spartanburg South Carolina, as well as Columbia. The city of Rock Hill, South Carolina is about 5 miles away and is a great place to enjoy dinner at one of the local spots.

The community is 544 acres, with 1,200 residences planned, including single family homes and town homes.

New Land Community at Lake Wylie makes the most of its lakeside location with multiple parks with playgrounds and waterview gazebos.

If your best place includes, a sandy beach swimming area, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, baseball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields, and a concession stand you'll find them there also.

There are docks, piers, and boat ramps for exploring and fishing on Lake Wylie.

Living here is almost like being at summer camp year round, except this time, you get to sleep in your own bed.
