Mount Vintage Community
Aiken, South Carolina is typically known for its equestrian heritage, and if you live at Mount Vintage community you’ll certainly have plenty of chances to ride, but you may be surprised by how good the golf is.
Mount Vintage’s 5,000 acres gave Tom Jackson plenty of room to stretch out in creating his 27-hole course and practice facility.
Golf great Byron Nelson had praised the course’s “magnificent layout,” and the five tees provide a challenge for novices and experienced players a like.
The rest of Mount Vintage community is as resplendent as the course.
The clubhouse is a restored 1840’s plantation house which has a bar and grill, and a restaurant.
There are walking, biking, and riding trails through the community, as well as sidewalks.
Six, lighted, Har-Tru tennis courts, with lessons and social play, and a fitness center with classes and trainers, will help you work up a sweat, while the outdoor pool and spa will cool you down.
You can also relax at the fitness center with spa treatments.
A great highlight of the community of Mount Vintage is the town center, where you’ll have access to a general store and services like a lending library and a salon.
Mount Vintage promotes a community feeling with plenty of pot-luck dinners, clubs such as ladies’ bridge and lunch bunch, and seasonal events through the year.
