Cypress Landing

Another affordable community near the coast is Cypress Landing, located in Chocowinity, which is just south of Washington, NC, by the Pamlico River.

From the Pamlico River you can access the Pamlico Sound and then the Atlantic Ocean. Getting onto the water is a breeze from Cypress Landing’s 222 slip marina.

Cypress Landing is also near Greenville, NC, which is a growing city, and home to East Carolina University.

If you’d like to take lessons there is a PGA pro on staff to help you with your swing.

Activity is readily available at the 18,000 square foot fitness center and four lane Junior Olympic pool.

When it’s time to relax you can head to the Bay Club at the marina with its grill style restaurant, bar and lounge, patio, and library.

There are also plenty of clubs and classes to get involved with such as book and garden clubs, craft classes, and card games.
