Summerville has earned its reputation as, “Flowertown in the Pines,” due to its proliferation of public and private azalea gardens and beautiful pine trees that were historically reputed to be a treatment for lung diseases.

Wilmington has an estimated population of 91,137 people and is located in New Hanover County, which has a total population of 168,088 people.
A well-known coastal town, Wilmington NC is rich in history. Wilmington's downtown is one of the largest districts on the National List of Historic Places. The historic downtown encompasses about 230 blocks that are filled with multi-use buildings, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, offices and residences, all with their own historic flair. Historic tours are offered via horse and carriage, trolley or a guided walk by one of Wilmington's citizens. Wilmington sits on the banks of the Cape Fear River.
