Comments on Chester, South Carolina
The problem with Chester is that there are no jobs to be had anywhere…and there is no shopping to speak of, just a Wal-Mart and two small grocery stores. When the textile mills closed, Chester pretty much died. The best place to move in the Chester area is Richburg. There aren't too many restaurants in Chester either. It is a lovely place, and my dad still lives there, but even he would like to see some growth. If it ever gets an industry of some kind again to support jobs, it is poised for growth.
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for your insights about Chester, and your tip on Richburg!
It looks like a good spot.
