Set in the southeastern portion of the upstate region of South Carolina, Laurens South Carolina is ideally situated in between the metro areas of Greenville SC, Spartanburg SC and Columbia SC.
Access to these cities is fast and easy with interstates 26 and 385 running right by the city of Laurens.
Getting to Greenville takes forty-five minutes, Spartanburg is five minutes further, and Columbia is an hour and fifteen minutes to the south.
The proximity to these centers of economic growth and entertainment allows residents of Laurens SC to commute to jobs and enjoy big city life while not having to give up their small town quietude.
The city of Laurens has a population of 9,916 people and serves as the county seat of Laurens County South Carolina, which has a total population of 70,508 people.
Laurens is also in a prime location to access other parts of the state and country.
Laurens County has its own airport for business and private charter jets. Rail service is provided by CVX Transportation with a stop in the nearby town of Clinton. The port city of Charleston SC is about three hours south via I-26.
The towns around Laurens South Carolina offer plenty in the way of natural beauty in their pastoral farms, lakes and forests. Sumter National Forest is located just west of town.
