Gaffney SC is just off of I-85 and near I-26 as well, providing a great way for residents to get in and out of town, as well as creating an economic boost from travelers constantly moving through the I-85 corridor.
Located in the northwestern part of South Carolina,Gaffney is near the North Carolina border, in the green rolling foothills of the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains.
Gaffney, SC is also located in the middle of two major metropolitan areas, a half an hour to the west is Spartanburg SC, and an hour to the west is Greenville SC, and an hour east is the Charlotte NC area.
Gaffney's economy has typically been centered around the textile and agricultural industries.In recent years, city officials have bolstered the economy of Gaffney South Carolina by recruiting more diverse interests such as industry and business firms.
