Florence, South Carolina
Florence South Carolina is known as the, “Magic City,” and it does seem a bit mystical that all the facets of transportation, business and economy have come together with excellent health care and entertainment in one place.
Florence is the largest city in the Northeastern portion of South Carolina with 31,570 people, serving as the county seat of Florence County, which has a total population of 132,800 people.
Florence SC is in a great spot for coastal and interstate access. Interstates I-95 and I-20 meet to the west of the city providing access to the north, south and west. US highways 52, 301 and 76 meet in the city providing access to the coast and other points to the east.
Businesses will appreciate the newly expanded regional airport, twenty trucking terminals and services from both Amtrak and CSX railway providers.
The closest large cities to Florence include Columbia SC which is an hour and twenty minutes away, Myrtle Beach SC which is an hour and a half away, and Sumter SC which is an hour away.
The climate in the region has a hospitable yearly average temperature of about 63 degrees and the city's size provides its citizens with plenty of services and entertainment while still being a manageable size.
Historically, Florence's easily accessible location had made it a traveler's stomping ground. This remains true, but present day Florence South Carolina offers plenty to entice people to stay as well.
