Raleigh, North Carolina
Known nationally for the Research Triangle Park, the Raleigh North Carolina area is rated as one of the best places to live and work in the country, especially if your work has to do with technology or health care.
The Research Triangle Park also lends part of its name to the trio of cities that make up the Triangle, including Durham NC and Chapel Hill NC, in addition to Raleigh.
Nicknamed the, “City of Oaks,” Raleigh North Carolina has many tree lined streets and public green spaces that make the city feel more like a big neighborhood in many of the outlying areas.
The city is set up so that the major business district is located in the middle of the city. In the surrounding districts you'll find smaller businesses, residences, restaurants and entertainment centers.
Raleigh NC has excellent highway and road access with Interstate 40 creating a beltway around the city.
Raleigh is a half an hour to either Durham NC or Chapel Hill NC, three hours to the coast of off Morehead City NC, three hours to Charlotte NC, and an hour and a half to Greenville NC.
Raleigh has a population of around 300,000 people and is the county seat of Wake County North Carolina, which has a total population of 695,681 people.
Raleigh is the second largest city in North Carolina, behind Charlotte, and is the state capital.
