Waynesville North Carolina is the largest town west of Asheville NC, before the crest of the Appalachian Mountains and the Tennessee border.

Located near the Tennessee border, where Interstate 40 dips down from the north, meeting with branches of local roads before heading east towards Asheville NC and points farther east.

Waynesville, NC is located forty minutes from Asheville, two and a half hours from Charlotte, North Carolina, and an hour and forty minutes from Greenville SC, as well as an hour and forty minutes from Knoxville TN.
Waynesville has a population of 9,347, and is located in Haywood County North Carolina, which has a total population of 55,442 people.
