Kinston, North Carolina is a quiet town positioned in the eastern heartland of the state, about forty-five minutes from the Intracoastal Waterway.
Kinston's location on North Carolina's coastal plain, in the river basin of the Neuse, creates a mostly flat terrain with rolling hills.
The town is rich in history and has begun to prosper from tourism that is sweeping the entire coastal area.

Kinston serves as the county seat of Lenoir County North Carolina and has a population of 22,056 people and Lenoir County has a total population of 56,387 people.
Route 70 runs east and west, Route 258 heads to points south and Route 11 approaches from the north. New Bern NC is forty-five minutes to the east, Jacksonville NC is an hour south, while Raleigh NC and the Research Triangle are about an hour and forty minutes to the west.
