Step 4 To Creating A Fulfilling Retirement-Job
Now that we are talking about your finances in retirement, your at the point to ask yourself …
Do I Need To Earn A Living In Retirement?
Depending on what you have discovered about your financial concerns and the lifestyle you want in retirement, you may have already decided you will need to get a job during retirement.
Now, you must decide what you will need to earn during retirement, and if you will need to or want to work either part-time or full-time.
It is true, people are living longer, and with that gift comes the need for more money.
Retirement is never as cheap as people think.
At this point, it is best to overestimate and have a bit extra income for unforeseen circumstances.
Working, even part-time, can substantially protect your investments and enhance your quality of life.
Yes, enhance the quality of your life. Working during retirement need not be thought of as restricting or with the same amount of stress and hours devoted your thoughts may be conjuring up at this point.
Remember in Step 1, you thought about your accomplishments in life, your sense of belonging and social interaction.
And in Step 2, you looked into your past to think abut your dreams and ambitions you had when you were younger that may have been put aside.
And if there were any aspects of your current life you wanted to be a part of your retirement.
If money isn’t an issue, you can open yourself up and consider volunteer work, or find a combination of part-time work and volunteer work.
Keep in mind, at this point, you are kick-starting your brainstorming.
What you're accomplishing by doing these steps is putting together lists and plans for creating a fulfilling retirement.
Have fun with it…get creative…get excited!
