Free Recreation in Retirement!
The long awaited retirement brings with it the dreams of time to do whatever it is we love to do! All those things we never found time to do when we were younger.
However, those "things" we love to do can dwindle our retirement funds faster than you might imagine.
Well, imagine how much impact doing those things can have on your wallet. Have you taken this into consideration when thinking about your best place to live and how much money you will need to retire?
Choosing your best place to retire in North Carolina or South Carolina that provides free recreation can be key in making your retirement funds last longer.
And with a little foresight, still provide you with the retirement lifestyle in the Carolinas you have dreamed of so often.
Also, selectively choosing your recreation can save you a lot of money.
Whether it be the well known beaches of the Outer Banks, Wilmington NC, Charleston SC and Myrtle Beach. Or the foothills in South Carolina and the mountains in North Carolina, there is plenty of free recreation to fit any lifestyle.
Many towns in North Carolina and South Carolina have free street festivals during the year.
Asheville, NC is home to the Bele Chere festival, Beaufort SC is home to the water festival, and Lexington, NC is home to a great barbeque festival.
Both North Carolina and South Carolina have many free parks and recreational areas with plenty of hiking and biking for you to enjoy.
You can still have fun, without breaking the bank.
If you love to golf, maybe instead of going to the exclusive country club, you hit the public links instead. Make sure your best place has public golf courses you like.
Maybe instead of going to a prime time movie, you catch the matinee.
And honestly, do you really need 397 channels?
Whatever your choices for recreation in retirement, make sure your best place to live in North Carolina or South Carolina have lots of free or less expensive ways in which you can make the most of your retirement money.

Comments on Free Recreation in Retirement!
Anywhere you retire you should seek out places to exercise and keep fit. I have rediscovered bicycle riding and go oout every day for 45-60 minutes. Great exercise and gets me away from the computer for a while.
