Carolina Retirement Planning - PastAnd…

How Will I Spend My Money In My Free Time when I am retired may have very different responses.

Think about how you spend your money in your free time.

What do you like to do?

Do you have hobbies?

Do you like to play golf?

Do you like to garden?

What new hobbies will you have when you move to North Carolina or South Carolina?

How will you spend your free time when you are retired?

For most of us those are simple questions with simple answers.  However, as you move into the next phase of your life, you may want to consider those questions a bit more carefully.  And use them as valuable resources to create your fulfilling and successful Carolina retirement.

If you like to golf perhaps you could give lessons or work at the municipal golf course and get free golf.

If you like to garden, is there a local garden you could volunteer at or start an urban garden program to teach young people.

If you love food, maybe it’s time to start a restaurant or an internet cooking club?

If you spend all day reading books, would a library job suit you?

If you love to talk about news events, you might be able to work on a political campaign.

Is there any way to merge those interests with a job?

Your hobbies, likes and what you have a passion for can be a very, very rich source of inspiration for new ideas.

Spending just a little bit of time looking around and thinking about what you like to do in your free time when you move to North Carolina or South Carolina can give you major inspiration.  Inspiration about what types of things you could be doing in your retirement and perhaps adding to your income.

Now, let’s explore and take a look at what you can do with the lists you have been putting together.
