50 Places in North Carolina and South Carolina For Under $150,000
In talking to many people who are interested in relocating or retiring and want to find their Best Places to live, they always ask me where to find reasonably priced housing in areas that have a quality lifestyle, some nice restaurants, shopping, medical care and a low cost of living.
Because of that, I started researching the Best Places to Live in North Carolina and the Best Places to Live in South Carolina where you could still buy a nice house for under $150,000, and the real estate taxes were affordable.
The "median home price" is the price that is midway between the least expensive and the most expensive home sold in the area. The median price is one of the most common measurements used to compare real estate prices in different states. It is less biased than the "average price" because it is not affected by the most expensive houses sold in the area.
Here are the Best Places I've found in North Carolina and South Carolina where you can still buy a nice house for under $150,000, and the cost of living is low.
