Cost Of Living

One of the first questions everyone asks when they're considering relocating or retiring to North Carolina and South Carolina is how the cost of living there compares to the cost of living where they're moving from.    It seems as though this one question will determine if a location makes their Best Places to Live list.

The ACCRA Cost of Living Index includes housing, food, clothing, transportation, healthcare, utilities, and miscellaneous goods and services.

In this section, I include information on how the costs in different places to live in North Carolina and South Carolina compare to the Cost of Living Index, the differences in the amount of taxes you'll pay, and the cost of housing.
