Hi, I'm Bob Bencivenga!

A little over 5 years ago, I began researching North Carolina and South Carolina.

At the time, I was looking forward to the day when I could retire with my family to the Carolinas.

I was in search of our Best Place To Live!

I've spent the last 35+ years finding the best real estate locations for major corporations.  It's my job and the companies I work for have made hundreds of millions of dollars based upon the locations I've selected throughout my career.

No, I don't sell real estate I just find the best locations for my employers.

Since I make my living as a professional site locator and location analyst, it should be easy to find the best places for my wife and I to live in North Carolina or South Carolina.  Right?

True enough it is easier for me than for many others however, it is very very time consuming.

Hundreds of websites, endless articles, papers and conversations with realtors, city officials and residents.  I wanted to know what it would really be like living in NC or SC.

Through the years, I've studied hundreds of cities and towns in search of the best places to live in North Carolina and South Carolina that are affordable, have a reasonable cost of living and potential for future economic growth.

Of course, I've had to also consider my personal needs and likes as well as those of my wife.  That's when it can really get interesting.

Somewhere along the way (pretty early on), I decided that if I, a professional site locator was spending this much time on finding the best places to live in the Carolinas, knowing where to look, the questions to ask and how to identify future growth, trends, etc that the information I was collecting could be helpful to others just like us that were looking to relocate or retire to North Carolina and South Carolina.

So there you have it.

My purpose, the purpose of Places of Value is to share what I've found with you and help you find your Best Places to Live in North Carolina and South Carolina.
