There are many best places to live along the South Carolina Grand Strand with easy access to Myrtle Beach.  Beginning at the northern end of the Grand Strand, we’ve already visited:

Conway South Carolina is about 15 miles west of Myrtle Beach.

This trendy, long-time tourism center brings people in nationally and internationally throughout the year as tourists. However many people are choosing coastal Conway South Carolina as their best place.

Conway in Coastal South Carolina is not only close to all the services of Myrtle Beach but the main attraction still is the beautiful South Carolina beaches lifestyle.

Located in Horry County, the population in Conway South Carolina is about 16,300 people (2010 census.)

Conway South Carolina is also the county seat and considered part of the Myrtle Beach Metropolitan Area.

The Coastal Carolina University is a large and popular University in the region which makes it’s home in Conway South Carolina.  More and more people are choosing their best place to live in a college town.

Start Your Life In Coastal South Carolina In The Right Place

When young people are present in an area no one can deny the feeling of excitement.

As you drive through Coastal South Carolina, you’ll find a number of interesting things to do and see.  But look at the architecture first.

You’ll notice many of the buildings and other structures are historic.

In fact, a number of buildings in Conway South Carolina are part of the National Register of Historic Places. This includes City Hall, which was designed by Robert Mills.  Robert Mills was the architect of the Washington Monument.

Take a stroll through downtown and you’ll know the residents of Conway South Carolina it their best place to live.  Conway is a part of Main Street USA. This area’s revitalization project, which was completed in the 1980s, really brought new life to the city.

Today, you can stroll from one shop to the next, buying handmade items and gathering groceries.

In the evening you’ll have plenty of choices to meet friends for an upscale dinner.   After dinner, take a stroll to Riverwalk.  Riverwalk follows along the Waccamaw River, a main waterway through the city.
