A Great Place To Retire Or Relocate To In South Carolina
Don't sit around like a deer frozen in the headlights. There are great opportunities out there, if you know where to look! In some places, median prices are down by 50%, and better yet, mortgage rates are still really low!
And one such place to look for your best place in the Carolinas is Greenville, South Carolina.
Now, Greenville is not one of those places where prices have fallen by 50%, but most of the Carolinas never experienced the sky high increases of the last real estate bubble, so housing is still very affordable compared to other areas.
Greenville dropped approximately 10-15% from its peak and will probably still go down another 1-2% in some areas. The median housing price is approximately $140,000.
It's located in the northwest part of the state, close to the North Carolina border along the growth corridor of Interstate I85. Greenville has approximately 56,000 people, and Greenville County in which it's located has 440,000.
The bonus of Greenville, South Carolina's location is its close proximity to Spartanburg, Anderson, and Clemson (home of Clemson University).
One of its biggest draws is its downtown area. I've never seen a cleaner more beautiful downtown with great housing, cultural events, charming shops, and restaurants. Its Main Street has been recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
If you're looking for your best place to retire or relocate to in the Carolinas, then take a trip and visit Greenville, South Carolina.
