Fourth Of July In The Carolinas
Well, tomorrow we'll be celebrating the Independence of this Great Country!
In checking out Fourth of July festivities in different towns throughout North Carolina and South Carolina, it becomes clear that no matter where you are, people still hold family as their most valuable gift!
They gather their coolers, lawn chairs, and blankets and head out to celebrate together.
Usually, there's organized family activities, even some rides, lots of food, games, cold drinks, music, and of course, fireworks.
Now the food might be different in many places.
The Carolinas are famous for their ribs, barbeque, and even pigs being slowly roasted for days. They have games like "Corn Hole Contests" which is like a Bean Bag Toss game, and Andy Griffith and Gomer Pyle look alike contests.
There are many old fashion, small town, Main Street USA parades where everything just stops for hours. You'll hear a lot more bluegrass music, fiddles, and sing-alongs, in the Carolinas.
But it still comes back to family and getting some time to spend together, no matter where you are.
Enjoy Yours!
