One Of The Greatest Resources For Retiring Or Relocating In The Carolinas
This resource is the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement located at the University of North Carolina in Asheville.
It isn't a resource just for people considering relocating or retiring to North Carolina or South Carolina, but draws people from more than 26 states, in their 50's and 60's who are considering relocating when they retire.
The Center for Creative Retirement holds "Creative Retirement Exploration Weekends". These weekends help you examine your concerns around this issue, and explore possibilities and insights you haven't thought of, with like-minded people.
This all takes place in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.
There are lively seminars, small discussion groups, guided tours, and social events. It gives you a chance to exchange ideas with people who are asking the same questions you are about relocation and retirement. Many have researched towns and specific communities to relocate to, and are questioning the same transitional issues as you. There's a lot gained by being able to exchange ideas and insights, at these weekends.
This is the "New Retirement". It's no longer about sitting around at the beach, and playing golf. Although you certainly deserve to do some of that, people are re-defining retirement and its possibilities.
They are taking advantage of new learning opportunities, community involvement through volunteer programs, starting new businesses, and leading very active lifestyles with new friends.
When you relocate to a new place for your "new retiement", there are different issues to explore and a host of possibilities to consider. There's no better place to get your mind thinking about it in a new way and in a beautiful setting, then The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement in Asheville, North Carolina.
