We currently live in the upper midwest with long, cold winters, warm, humid summers. We want to move somewhere that has moderate temperatures all year, humidity is not a problem. We have thought about Wilmington but the more we read into it the more bad things we hear about it. Is Wilmington really that bad? What is a good city that is close to the ocean and has around 100,000 people? My family and I are looking to possibly move to NC. We currently live in Pennsylvania and we're both just tired of the long, cold winters. NC seems like the best bet. We're not big on huge cities, but the idea of living in a tiny town with nothing around isn't appealing either. So something in between would be nice.... A nice neighborhood, where you can take a 30-45 minute drive to bars, clubs, malls, restaraunts, etc. We also wouldn't want to live too close to the coast... Maybe about a 2 - 3 hour drive from the beach. If anyone has any recommendations for an area like that, I would really appreciate it. We would, most likely need to be near a city due to our jobs, but we are looking for a low-key town, or suburb of a city. Any Ideas/ suggestions???
